is master key required ??

I am about to disconnect my battery this afternoon to do work on my Almera sport plus ( W reg ) --- My question is :- what are the implications of disconnecting it ? I do not appear to have a master key........ Just two nats keys.
anyone know ?

Cheers Houston, Noticed that you are from South Shields too !!!! Anyway, I disconnected the live terminal and while doing that, managed to earth myself via my wedding ring !!!! Oooooooohh....... painful !!!!!!! One very blistered wedding ring finger and a knackered wedding ring.
