It's official - the Almera's dead

Nissan now no longer offer the option of configuring a new Almera and from that you can only assume they now no longer make them...

Sad day... for a whole 3.7secs i think... Long live the Almera :D

edit, hes wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we're still building them, however the russians are mostly stealing them, I'll let you's know when the last one rolls off the line and might even take a pic lol

I think you should scrawl AOC into the back of a body panel somewhere :D

Or put a sticker on it ;)

Man can't believe it's really dead, no N17 then?

And I just paid up too  ;)

Long live the AOC is all I can say!

long live the almera, have to admit im not sad production has stopped though. my uncles tino is terrible inside compared even to my n15 which in turn is bad compared to the p10. going down hill and i cant see them going back up it again, probably good compared to most but they dont feel solid or special at all.

They need to start building bulletproof cars like the N15 again, and experimenting with some sporty models. Sadly, I doubt they will. Looks like they are concentrating on 350Z/GTR being the only sporty ones.

Well thats a stupid move by Nissan, Theres a large, stable market for hot hatches. They could at least make a GTi equivalent of the N16 to send the Almera on its way... ahh well

Yeah, chuck a QR25DD in it ;) 170bhp on tap

Im not sad. I would of been when they stopped making the GTi, if i was older than 12 at the time.

honest to god - if they had stuck in an SR20DE in at some point then EVERYTHING would be fine... The only post-N15 mera that has an SR20DE engine in it is the Almera Tino Autech Series in Japan and they're autos...

are you sure? i think the uk tino had an sr20de as theres a few 2.0 listings for tinos ive seen. unless its a qg20de

I do beg your pardon, the Tino's do have an SR20DE - i thought the P12 Primera had a form of SR20VE Auto estate but turned out it had a QG20DE with Neo something or other and had just presumed it had the same

If thats the case the GTi can be put on hold for a mo... :D :D :D maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel for N16 owners after all

Just seen a couple of Tino SE's with a 2.0 petrol engine coupled to a 5 speed transmission - so i've sent an email to all the scrappies to see who's got what :D :D :D

Maybe - JUST maybe there's a donor for the N16 heart bypass it needs

*EDIT* i have just thought this through - i now know why everyone says get an N15 - HOW stupid is taking a Tino engine and shoving it into my jap frog? Oh dear god thats hard hitting!! LoL
