I've got a 2003 Nssan Almera 1.5 Pulse, N16 (interior looks like an N15).

My problem is that both fan fuses keep blowing, so I disconnected everything checked with a meter and the issue seems to be with the blower fan. I therefore need to replace this and the haynes manual is not great. Any help on how to remove the blower fan would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

As yours is a Phase 2, im not sure if it will be the same as the Phase 1. But i have a Phase 1 blower motor available.

As for removeing, you'll need to remove the glovebox, the side panels down in the passenger side footwell, (cant remember if theres anything else to remove) and you should be able to see all the bolts. Undo all the bolts, unhook the wiring looms, and it should just pull off (you'll need to pull it down and towards the left as it feeds into the blower matrix) :)

Hope this helps dude!

Thanks for the reply.

Although I can see a bar across the front of the blower, which seems to be in the way. Removing this seems to be a real pain. Not sure how I should proceed.

You should be able to get to all the bolts with that bar still in place. I got mine out, you'll need to remove the glovebox, cowling panels in the passenger foot well, and maybe the airbag. The bottom half of the housing will come apart from the top. The blower motor is part of this lower housing...(ill try and get a pic of the just the bottom half so you know what you are removing!)

Once all the bolts are undone, it should simply pull downwards, (there maybe little clips, but just give it a good ol tug) :)

Hope this helps

Ah ryt...Looking at your pics i cant see why its not coming out??

Mine had 10 screws so make sure youve removed this many , the 2 clips at the front, just unclip and pull the front downwards a little, then give it a tug down and left and its should just slide out.

It may require some 'jiggling' to get it over that bottom bar of the dash that goes across, but it shouldnt be too hard (famous last words)

Cheers

Thanks again.

I think the haynes manual has confused me as I've been trying to take the complete unit out. Will try to remove just the underside (just the bit with the motor) over the weekend. Hope this works.

Many Thanks.

I've had a similar problem, but have been able to get the blower out. Question now is: How do I get the replacement blower back in??

I am trying to remove blower and cant get it out! You say there is 10 screws is this including the screws holding brackets for fascia? is there screws at the back as i seem to have no access to this area as floor in the way, can i remove the soundproofing/ floor ? or is there another way to get access? I see picture of foot well side panel on center console is there screws behind there or do i just pull?

Any chance of a top down picture showing screw holes?
