Janspeed Exhaust Back Box - Drain Hole?

Hi all,

I've searched the forums and the web and wondered if anyone could confirm my suspicions about my Janspeed Back Box, fitted to a P2 GTi. Might be useful for other people who find theirselves peering at their exhausts.

It has a tiny hole in the side nearest the mid section, just where the box is crimped. It lets out a lot of water when you idle the car from cold - is this an intentional water drain hole...?

I'm not sure because I bought the car with the box fitted, so don't have any of the original paperwork.

Also does anyone know if it is stainless steel (I'm assuming that there is only one janspeed back box for the Almera GTi...)

Cheers!

Mike.

I think he means on the backbox itself... On the inlet side of the box, at the bottom.

I know some standard boxes on other cars have this, so i would presume this is what the hole is for :)
