jap plates

decided to get myself some jap plates! dunno why... i just think the square ones look better

i was gonna get a rear one but found it doesn't fit... im guessing that if it's cut to size it will fit... might do that sometime!

would look better offset to one side of the bumper imo. i was thinking about doing it, and getting the bumper smoothed out where the old recess used to be

was thinking about filling the recess in, but that's the way theyre sold worldwide so i might just keep it :)

not major bodywork done, but it's just something different i think

hyundai coupe's have them, daihatsu's have them... as long as it's the standard car size, then it's legal... make sure it's not a bike plate!

Thats not a Jap plate its a Motorbike 9'' x 7'' Jap import plates are 13'' x 6.5''

(I produce number plares at work incase anyone wonders how i know this)

so is that illegal then ?

Technically yes. A motorcycle plate is sized to display 64mm high letters whereas a car plate needs to display 79mm letters.

mine is a car plate... went to halfrauds to get it done and it showed the difference between a car and a bike plate... it's definatly a car one...

besides, "if" it is illegal, i just go to halfrauds to pay the bill as they led me to believe that it was legal :)

thought it looked car size, same size as the one on my pulsar lookalike and it fits the jap number plate recess perfectly.
