Just bought my first GTI.

Hi Folks,

I'd like to be first to welcome myself to the higher ranks of ownership.

I've progressed from the standard (yet very reliable) T Reg Red 1.4 GX to an R Reg Black GTI.

I'm over the moon with my purchase.
Bit noise at the passenger side front wheels so I'll have a look tonight.

insurance wanted 2500 for 3rd party and 4500 for fully comp for me and thats with 1 years ncb.

jesus!!! i was 19 when I got insured on my GTi (now 20) and im paying about £1500 a year!!! jesus thats a friggin good quote, who you with???? dont dare say flux!! haha

Oh dear... 18 years old, 0 years driving, 0 NCB on 1.6 SRi - just shy of £1600!

ranges from around 16 - 40 i'd say.. dont worry bout being old mate!! think they're may be a few a little older..

Admiral, there amazing. sshh i dont really tell anyone. So i get all the good quotes . But seen as your an almera owner ill let you in on the secret.

Two days into it and get a puncture. Kwik-Fit 17 un a half quid. The kid had never seen sports valves before, so didn't know how to deal with the wheel, got the gaffer over and told him to be careful!
