key fob help needed

can anyone help me

my mates little girl was playing with my keys other day when i came to open the car the fob wouldnt work, the red light lights up on the fob but nothing happens ive had to turn off the alarm using the master key fob could my key fob have been reset can anyone tell me how to reset it, i have a 1998 r plate gti the nats key fob as two buttons 1 red 1 blue and the master only has 1 red one on

it loses the code if you press it 64 times out of range of the car.

Stand next to your car, hold down both buttons untill the LED goes solid. release both buttons and press the red down for a few seconds. That should sort it.
