Key help

I recently got a N16 Almera (will put pics on once new wheels fitted), it only came with one key, I had a spare key fob so I have programmed this and it works fine, I managed to get hold of a blank key with the right colour nats transponder in it, My question is does anyone know anywhere in glasgow, or the northeast (sunderland/ newcastle area) where I can get the key cut and the tranponder programed? or is it a Nissan only job??
 
I would have thought this would be a Nissan only job, as i recently had this done with a transit, and had to go to Ford. It was £90ish.

You could programme the key yourself if you had the master IIRC but as you don't you'll need to take it to Nissan to have done. Could have it cut at numerous places though.
 
There is usually an advert in the sunderland echo for a place that will program transponder keys. i'm sure its in park lane market. been told it costs about £25.
 
you Couldn't get the number for me could you, not back in the northeast for a few weeks, so would be good to prearrange as I'm only down for a few days
 
the key itself is a speaclist job useally nissan the thob for the centrel locking you can do yourself
 
I'll keep an eye out for the number for you. its just a stand in the market so i don't think you would need to book but obviously if you ring him it will save you a journey if he can't do it.
