keyfob buttons

ok i guess i should really know this, but i get the red button opens and locks the doors.... what does the blue one do???

I asked this ages ago and a few people said it does X Y and Z, but the only thin I found it does is used in conjunctino with the red one to change the code programmed into it.

It disables, where fitted, the interior motion sensors after you press the red to lock and alarm. For example if you leave a dog/wife in the car.

Mine doesnt have them and I dont think many of them do, it was an optional extra.

I've got this on mine.If I leave the windows open a bit or whatever then i press the blue button first then the red one straight after to disable the motion sensors Works for me

got this too. only have to press the blue button after locking and it disables the sensors.

mines the same as above ^^^ it makes a second beep, and the next time I lock it using the fob it makes a long beep instead of 2 beeps

I thought this was a feature on P1's only. Must have not been that important though if they removed the feature for P2's

its for special people. lol i think it was for phase 1s only aswel. on the phase 2 keyfobs theres only a lock and unlock button.

No there isnt, they're the same as phase 1 keyfobs.

are all key fobs for the gtis squarish? and non gti key fobs are rounded,

Dont think so, i have the same fobs for my phase 2 GTi as I had for my phase 1 1.4.

The radar module which is under the centre console by the handbrake was a standard fit on all GTI's.
As for the remotes all gti's should have a square ish remote with a red and blue button. The N15 phase 3 may have a black remote with a red lock button and a black unlock button.

As for the Blue button, it does turn off the radar module.
