leather interiors

i am thinking about retrimming my mera with leather, just a standard black to give it a touch of class as i have decided to keep the mera for a few years.
i know that a few have re-trimed and was wondering what type of prices this has been done for.
just getting an average price on what to expect, obviousely i need to go and get a quote but thought i would ask here first

I'd be tempted to go for what Naylor opted for and replace the front seats while re-trimming the rears

I don't know how it relates, but I was given the details of a guy in Stockport who re-rimmed my rear bench with alcantara and some weaved fabric from an Evo rear bench (supplied - matched the Recaros in the front) and he only charged me £250

I believe he's much happier working with leather so I could ask him if you decide to go this route (rears could be posted down to you, fronts are a bit more difficult)

TIIEWL have you got any pictures of your rear seats? id rather go for that option than leather i think, i think it looksmore comfortable, leather interiors (especially black ones) remind me of my mates mk1 MR2 and its 80's ness!

LOL

Not sure actually - I'll have a dig around ....

All I can find hosted are these of the fronts - there may be some piccies at home I can scan/upload

try D:CLASS in Woking on 07702026134, probably the best retrimmers in the country at the moment and can make you anything in almost any material

just a little warning as i have a black leather interior, it gets stupidly hot in summer and because its a full leather trim its really cold in winter.
im going to try and get my centres done in dark charcole alcantara because of this and i think it looks a lot nicer

thats what ive been planning for this year, its what my lass has in hers(106GTI interior) and its great.

you can get trims for as little as £550 but quality of the lether and stiching will come into it

I've thought about leather re-trim.

Don't think I'd like full leather though, maybe leather and suede or alcantara.

Think I'd probably go for some front Recaro recliners or something too - but then theres the pain of fitting them..

...if only I had the money :(

At great cost ;)

Got some Recaro frames for a Fiesta off eBay and got a local bodyshop to cut some plate to bolt into the existing seat mounts on the car and then weld the Fiesta frame on top

I make it sound so easy, but basically that's all they did ..... for 3 days ..... at a cost of £350

Do the Type-R seats have removable seat rails or are they part of the seat base (like Audi/VW) ?

in my opinion do NOT go for suade as it will fade really badly this was bright blue and ended up like this after a year or so and also staines really easy
