Lightweight crank pulley fabrication

have a word with andy s, im pretty sure a good while ago he sent his away and got some nice alum ones back :)

Nice one thanks Paul :)
Now forund Andy's thread about CDF in Kent who made his. My search before was too specific as I included 'fabricate'.

Andy's never had timing marks on them. But they may do them if you tell them to, seeing as they'll have your pulley.

they had my original and didnt do it , i gust assumed they would have done it ( im sure they would if you asked)

plus the pulley didnt fit , i had to get it machined to fit

bump. Interest reignited due to Pitchy being banned. He was going to make them for me.

Did CDF Racing sort you out a refund or offer to fix, Andy?

Sure. Any weight reduction especially when it's rotating mass, is going to have benefits.

Hey Ed, just seen this... I'm sure CDF will hook you up if you send them a standard pulley.
I think Andy S's pulley only caused him issues because he had it made to underdrive the accessories, but I think you'd be better off to stay safe and keep it OE size, but obviously you'll be saving weight :)
Just get them to make a direct copy of a standard one dimension wise, but lighter.
Joe

Yeah Joe I wont be going underdrive, only getting lightweight water and crank pulleys :) As you say getting direct copies. I contacted CDF a while back and they said send them samples to copy so shouldnt be a problem I just wanted to make sure the company was ok the use :).

Should be yeahh.. I have heard of them used on other forums too.
Also look for a company called GMC, as my mate organised a successful pulley GB with them on the saxslow forum lol..
Joe

GMC Motorsport, based in Scotland? They made custom pulleys for them did they?
