Alright guys im looking to get a almera gti 99 spec after i mot and sell my golf gti
nice to join the forum
 
welcome mate just look out for rusty arches and sill if there is non theres nothing much else that goes wrong engine is really good!

stu has a little map i think he made up earlier showing the rusty points on a mera....

engines are solid as long as u keep all the fluids at the correct level... after owning mine il never go back to older Vdubs :D
 
Welcome. As said the rust is the main problem as long as you keep the crap out of the arches and clean them every now and then should last.
As said the engine is bullet proof, just look after it with servicing to keep it in top shape.
