Ok, My car is an N15 S reg..... registers October 98.... I wanna lower my car and have been on quite a few websites for the springs but all seem to come up with two different sizes and years....

1995-1998 ------ 35mm
1998-2000+ ------ 40mm

with mine being october 98 is it only the 98 to 2000+ or the 1995-1998 that will fit the car or both?!?!? Sorry not too well up on this and confused!!!!!

Best way to tell is your aerial. Is your aerial for your radio on the roof at the back of the car or by the driver door at the front? If it is at the back then you will have the phase 2 (1998-2000) model but if it is at the front then you will have a phase 1 (1995-1998). There are other ways to tell too, there is a thread on this in one of the areas on the site, just do a search.

As you said it was registered in October 98 then I would say it is a phase 2 althought I have seen a few phase 1's that were still being registered at the same time the phase 2's were out.

Thanks for the info, my ariel is at the back so guess that means its a phase 2 and I can lower it 40mm :) as for the link you found for me, tried it but it says I cant access it.

Lowering springs to be order tonight then

Be careful about which lowering springs u buy as some people here have put new lowering springs on to then find out that their car is then higher

I havent got them yet but have been told pi's are good so should be ordering very soon..... have found a price of £107.99 for them..... is this good/bad?!? my cousin said he'd price some up for me when he got his for a golf from (somewhere in lincoln).

Eibach are better in my own opinion but Pi's aren't bad and thats a pretty good price. :P

where do i get discount at?!?! sounds good to me!!!

you have to become a member of the almera owners club ;)

£15 for full access to the forums, loads of discounts, and some groovy stickers

get the form sent off lassie!

Ive got PI's on mine, they are fine I think. Though they seem a bit lower at the back than the front. Avoid Gmax's though, more coils than standard springs in some cases.

i got spaks on mine lowered ita good bit also running kyb shocks
u shouldget shocks aswell as not long after fitting ur springs it will knacker ur standered shocks
