Lowering on standard shocks

35mm H&R lowering springs all around on standard shocks, good idea er no? Or should I save up and get KYB Excel-G shocks if necessary?

They just won't last as long. If you're high mileage then the shocks will fail sooner than later.

35mm generally can be used with standard shocks but uprated shocks are recommended.

With mileage that low probably won't be a problem if your shocks are in reasonable condition.

Coilovers are a huge improvement over springs with the added benefit of being able to set them up exactly the way you want. More hassle and cost if a piston pops, though.
