making a gti rep.....

So after purchasing a 1.4 off a woman at work I'm looking to do a few plans nothing heavy however first thing is to make it look more appealing so I have started to source a gti kit.
Now guessing the trickyrest of jobs will be fitting the spoiler and the skirts might look at just fitting the gti tailgate as I have read problems occur when trying to remove the spoilers?
So once the kit is sorted ill be looking at lowering and adding a set of gti alloys.
Reading old posts I believe its straight forward to get the front fogs to work due to wiring being present?
Is that the case with the electric Windows? Are the looms present inside the body?
Any other tips advice for a gti rep would be great I know there are afew on the forum.
 
For the electric windows depending on what model spec yours is. Mine is an equation and doesn't have the interior loom for electric windows. But the fogs just need a switch and relay :)

As I said in the PM the skirts are easy to fit mate. We will chat about the Boot Lid when you come up.
 
No worries bud was just thinking a head really,if you have tx me I won't get it till tomorrow due to.poor signal looking to be with.you for about half 2 if that suits?
 
id install the full tailgate mate its easier, skirts easy enough get yourself some windscreen sealant and 8 screws (4 per side) generously apply sealant stick and hold skirt in position, use screws on the ends for better fitment as the sealant will not take to arches
ive done a gti replica engine and all need any info gimme a shout mate ill help all i can
