Mike from South Scotland.

Not an almera owner. Recently bought an sr20 converted micra as couldnt be bothered building my own and couldnt of built one the same for the money.

Located in Lockerbie, South Scotland. I break jap performance cars for a living. Diesel mechanic by trade, hate it, hence why i break jap cars.

Will be at crail next weekend weather permitting.

Haha class. No been to moffat in years. Need to get a blast down again. A701 is a crackin road. I should say used to be, apparently littered with potholes now. Also get some pics up in members rides pal.

haha yeah, i challenge anyone on the 701, love that road, the dolphington straight is a laugh aswell, providing the five-o aint sitting in the lay-by. #topspeedrun

will get some pics up tomorrow

Welcome on board.

Might be tempted to Crail if the weather is OK.
Last year Ross and I froze our nuts off but it was worth it to be running down the strip when the rest of the UK was under a foot of snow.

Haha yeah,Crail tends to have its own weather, mind a few years back it was pissing it down in glasgow but just as we got to Anstruther it was glorious sunshine. Fingers crossed for arctic cold but bone dry, let those engines sing :-p

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Quite refreshing to see forum members actually welcoming new members unlike other forums I've been involved with in the past.

I have posted up a thread in the members rides section. Speak soon.

Mike

lol yeah the correct use of the English language has definitely given you brownie points. A lot of crap gets spewed out on here, especially from a lot of new members.

Haha that is aweome....I used to frequent micra.org.uk and when I lived in oz it was micra.com.au and jesus christ the amount of trash that gets spoken is not even funny, especially on micra.org.uk, its hard to bite your tongue sometimes, and when you cant hold it in anymore and say something you get banned for expressing a sensible, non idiotic opinion. I think I've found my online tinterweb home :-)

afew of us used to be on MSC, I know I was allot and still pop on every now and again :D ciscos micra files used to be quite informative for the jap specials :)

Yeah ciscos is half decent but I think theres not one sr20 micra in oz, a few ga16 and the rest are boosted cg13's.

I put up a guide of how to do a ga16 conversion on MSC once and it was up a few hours and I took it down, lads were more interested whether I had informed the dvla of the engine change rather than what I was actually showing them how they could achieve the same with minimal fuss

bolts straight up to the cg gearbox and you can use the cg wiring loom.. just need to make space for the water pump as far as I was aware.

Cov on here has just built a monster GA id love his engine ..

I used the ga box for top end. Still pulled a 15.5 1/4 mile at crail. Just had to make up a bracket for the gearbox but it was childs play.
