miss fire

hi i have a 2001 almera it seems to be miss firing revs going up and down changed the plugs,air filter,oil and oil filter,the cam shaft position sensor which had previously been changed recall. cant seem to find the crank shaft sensor as i may change that too can anybody help me out on this problem

I am Nissan technician and have come across this several times before, although I cannot guaruntee this as I haven't seen the car but it sounds like you have got a multi cylinder misfire caused by timing chain stretch. If it is this, you will need a new timing chain, guides, tensioner and various gaskets (rocker cover etc). I would recommend you do not drive the vehicle untill it has been repaired as timing chain failure can lead to a very expensive repair.
