MOT question regarding rear side lights

As some of you may know i've been having problems finding the sort for the rear side light/front fogs etc. As a temporary fix i have taken a live feed from the ignition to the rear cluster, this solved most of the problem however the rear light come on as soon as the car is started, will this effect the MOT i have booked in on Friday?
Ho yeah my dash lights still refuse to work....??

I don't think the rear lights would be a problem - just sounds like a volvo hahah. But dash lights - do you mean the instrument cluster? If so, that is not going to pass - you need to able to see your speed at night!

Ok, so the speedo illumination might be a problem for the MOT, i'll place a led battery torch there to get it through should that be ok? (yes i know a bit bodge but its only temporary). Where would i find the fuse for the clock lights then?

well paul like i said before i had the exact same problem and the dash / instrument lights are on the same circuit so gett a auto sparky on the case it only cost me £28 and the whole problem was fixed just mention the things to him that i pointed out in your other thread

It will fail as the side lights have to work with the ignition off. As for the dash lights they don't come into the MOT.

Obviously I was talking bollocks then. Apologies. I didn't think about the fact that the sidelights would be inoperable with the engine off.

Manged to get this sorted, sods law that the leccy changed some fuses and a bulb and all works fine, better be quick and get it booked in for it MOT before it decides to polay up again:D
