chavvy or not?

i used to love it, now i think it sounds great but looks a bit big, 1/2" smaller would just look so much better imo but some of my mates think it looks good how it is, others think it looks chavvy and im starting to agree, what do other people think? no point changing it when i will hopefully be selling the car in december but its just been bugging me for the past few days (spending time revising rather than worrying about an exhaust would probably be more useful ) next car will definately be looking as standard as possible, cant help feeling like a chav when i drive this even though its mostly nissan parts and i hate it more and more every time i see a set of lexus lights and think i probably get associated with them.

Snap. In comparison to the council bin spec exhaust i took off, mine gets nothing but praise. Leave it as is mate looks good, Janspeed from a Gti isnt it? Designed to fit the vehicle (ish) so bollocks to other peoples opinions because it isnt chav.

The exhaust is fine sprint, i like it. James yours is fine too just looks a bit odd on a standard looking car! you need some alloys..
I must admit, i prefer slash cut ones though on japanese cars, just realised i have no pics of my exhaust on here..to compare. ah well.

but don't forget that japanese cars do have a tendancy to have a large single exit exhaust, especially on the evo and impreza, although almeras do have pea shooters no more than 2.5" is enough in my eyes

So whatever your mates have said, its poo. Im guessing theyve never seen a 'chavvy' exhaust!!

plus, it sounds nice aswell.. looks nice, mate if your selling it, I'll buy it back off your straight away.

It looks fine mate. If any exhaust looks "chavvy" its mine, but all i say is ive got a jap car, i can have a jap style exhaust even if it is stupidly loud. At least the rest of your car isnt covered in vents, shopping lists and spinning wheel trims!

Looks good. Try and bring the tip nearer the bumper cut-out, you can do this by using zip ties around the rubbers.

a few mates think it looks a bit big, tbh i would rather people on here liked it than my mates as most dont have a clue anyway.

kow yer its the same one, will be staying until december i think when with any luck the car will be going so i wont be selling it until then im afraid, thats assuming everything goes to plan and the car gets sold standard etc.

ahh right no bother,

its a spot on exhaust, its not big what so ever Id say. Ive got a 4" tailpipe now, its loud!! That Janspeed sounded noooo way near what my Powerflow system sounds like mate, so if ur mates say the Janspeed Exhaust is big and chavvy, they must want you to have the original or no exhaust!! as IMO you cant get a more subtle sound for a GTi than Janspeed (not mentioning the original backbox)..

so tell them to bugger off, unless you wana sell it back to me dude.
