hi well i went to go in the car and the key just snaped in half and i havent got a spare so anyone from newcastle do they no if any nissan garages local are open on a sunday to get a new key made any help would be appriciated thank you

Did it just snap or did it snap in the lock? Unluncky i always thought the keys were made of sturdy material.

Ring round motor shops for ones with a key cutting facility, we have one but were in essex! i have 2 spares for mine, just keep the base of the key with you to disable the NATS (keeping the key in range of the ignition)

well just to update for those interested i went to benfield nissan they cut me a new key £30 but then said theres the key but it wont start your car . and said we need your car here to code key , so had to pay for cf recovery to pick car up then take it to nissan and then code key another £100 so in total for my key it cost £130 so peeps who dont have a spare beware . :(

My blank spares start my car. All you needed to do was keep the end of the key with the transponder in it on the same key-ring, thus keeping it in range to disable the imobiliser and start the ignition. As i said above. Could of saved yourself 100 quid there my dear.
