My New ride (old members car)

Hi all finally made use of some nice weather and gave the old girl a quick spit and polish.

i must admit though hate washing a car for the first time after you have just bought it as you find a few defects in the paint but hey gives me a chance to put my own little stamp on the car. :D

well heres some pics for you to feast your eyes on. :D

let me now what you think always open to opinions ;)

Thanks Chaps

The spoiler i wasnt to sure of myself tbh however it has grown on me and the camera angle isnt great imo.

Yeah the car was for sale in romford and is still in romford.

I think so, but being new to the nissan scene not 100% sure what the different variations of almera there are but im learning and getting there

if you remove anything from the car we will all hunt you down and make you eat 10 peperami firesticks in one sitting. bar the rear lights of course, a set of VZRs would look mightily nice

It did used to have VZR rears, it seems the previous owner removed them!

Looks great, needs an SR20VE transplant to complete it ;)

Rob_GTi built it to what he considered the GTi 'should' have been like, more like the import special editions. I think it may have had a carbon bonnet too once upon a time. Al_P bought it when rob sold it to get a house, then eventually sold it on.
Great to see its ended up in good hands though!

SR20VE??

At the moment this means nothing to me lol :D

so what variation is this cause the ultimate aim is to sit a pulsar gtir engine in the bay and run roughly around the 330bp mark which i beileve is very achievable from these engines.

Any other info on turboing the gti and what internal changes need to be made then answers on a post card

2.0 engine out a GTi... but if i read correctly above it already has that

the kit isn't really my taste, but i guess its just personal preference, looks in ace condition though

so welcome

edit... me = idiot..

VE - variable valve timing... not DE...

That spoiler was so hard to get, lol! Rare as fuck if you ever decide to take it off sell it me back cos it was a mission and a half to get that!

it might be worth a lot and extremly hard to source but i think only drift cars should have spoilers cos other wise its just for show n im not really into show but more performance!! having said that i did by the 2slat grill but that was needed!!!!!

if your planning on great performance then a spoiler should help?

Some examples of non drift cars that have spoilers

1) Escort Cosworth.
2) Subaru
3) Evo's

and theres prbably more.

Cars that normally run big power need the downforce created by the rear spoiler for straight line speed and cornering capabiliies.

Granted i know that my car is no weapon yet but it will be therefore making the spoiler usefull.

:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks
Rob

Well seen as a spoiler gives downforce on the back end thus sticking it to the road, there not a great idea on drift cars eh? lol

drift is a myth. they actually rely on grip. fact.

anyway, back on topic, i like the spoiler, so much better then the autech ones, no offence intended, the autech ones are a bit trolley handley, if you know what i mean.
