N15 GTi to GTiR Conversion

Hi Guys,
I have a N15 GTi with a blown Engine & a nice Red top engine out of a pulsar & was wondering if anyone on here has done this converion? I was looking for some advice before I satrt of any problems I may come across & any other points would be good too.

it only took a year because he let it take a year, spanish sign up for membership mate there have been a couple of the conversions and most of the info is on this site ;)

Nice one man, welcome to the forum and hope your conversion goes ok!

Come to think of it, I wonder if anyone has ever tried a primera P10 eGT intake on a pulsar lump (Eliminating the pulsar TBs) with the pulsar turbo bits, but mapped as an SR20DE+T? The engine will already be suited for turbo being lower compression.

The eGT intake should fit as it is a highport just like the GTiR. The GTiR exhaust manifold and turbo etc will bolt onto the exhaust side. Swap the sensors on the engine for the ones off the almera and couple it up to the almera loom.

eGT intake doesnt fit its the same the other way round when everyone says just put pulsar bodies on a primera and make it an N/A screamer they dont fit without work..

Use the Almera GTi Ancilleries where possible and the Almera GTi loom too, where possible..
Chop the Injector plugs off the Pulsar GTiR loom and attatch to the Almera GTi Injector loom.
It can't be that hard :)

..take all the pulsar turbo bits off and turbo your own lump
..you will only need a few oil lines.
..then sell the blocks and make some money

Bit of help here from the main man DBull who is well known for massive power on almera gti :)

This is the message he sent me when i asked about this 3 years ago.

"The GTi mounts bolt straight up to the GTiR engine.

You use the GTi flywheel & clutch on the GTiR engine, but have to drill out the flywheel bolt holes to 12mm I think (nothing major).

The haress plugs straight in with the exception of a few wires, that are colour matched anyways.

It is a very easy swap, but if you are not mechnically minded, then do not attemptthe swap yourself.

Cheers

Dave"
