N15 GTi - will these wheels fit? Please help.

Hi guys,

I am desperately trying to find some wheels for my GTi - not MASSIVELY bothered about how 'sexy' they look, just as long as I think they look okay...

What is VERY important to me is safety - what I mean to say is, I don't want to bodge-fit some, I don't want one rolling past me when I'm bombing along!

So, with this in mind I have spotted a set which look so-so, but are very attractively priced, and more importantly, I can go and pick them up today! :)

Please can I have your opinions on if they will fit, or at least what questions I need to ask the seller;

TIA

Thanks for the reply Matt, I think we are sorted - just spoke to the guy and he has had them on an 'S' plate Megane Coupe, which as far as I can see, is pretty much a perfect match!

I'm going down for a fitment shortly anyways, I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again, best regards,

Ezz.

Sound, keep us update, and i want pics when they go on.:P Will look good against the red. White goes with all colours except mine:(

You have the best colour though Matt - my fave anyway...

I have bought the wheels, two tyres were knackered so still not quite there, but getting better.

I didn't actually try one on as the weather was awful, but his Megane Coupe was there and he had photo's of the wheels fitted, so based on the guides we should be good.

What are the spigot rings for Monka? The car already has 17's on, so maybe I will be okay?

Forgive me for being a noob but what is 'slamming' :(

Cheers

spigot rings go around the hub, and match the inside diamiter of the inner bore hole of the wheel.

basically bolts and nuts arent designed to take the weight of the car, as standard, wheel centre bores are matched to the size of the hub, which is what takes the weight.

with out spigot rings you run the risk of seeing your wheel over take you.

and slamming - lowering, in the extreme.

personly n15's look there best on 16's, 17's can be pulled off i think but only when really low

Thanks Monka, I'm with you now.

I'll look into the spigot rings, as I said the car has aftermarket wheels on anyway, so perhaps it already has some on? I am gonna try the new wheels on today hopefully, so I will see if any rings are present.

It appears to have been lowered already, again, there are 17's on now and I wouldn't say it has huge 'gaps' between tyres and arches...

I'll get some pics up when it's done and hopefully you guys can help me decide on the results.

Thanks again, Ezz.

Hi again guys,

Got my white wheels on now, but as I think I mentioned two of the tyres were shot, so been and had some new ones fitted today (after I took the pic).

They are an absolutely perfect fit, really pleased with that, and I think they look okay too - hope you agree;
