N15 owner newbie - joining the ranks

Hi guys,

Just thought i'd say hi - thought it might be a good idea to join the forum instead of lurking as usual.

I'm an owner of a '97 N15 GLX in Swansea - had the car about two years and she's been very good to me so far. Originally bought as a stop-gap but after all this time with minimal issues my thoughts have turned more to preservation than to just end up running her into the ground.

As a 5-door 2-litre diesel hatch she's perhaps not the most desirable Almera out there but she's got her quirks that add a little character (still rocking a cassette player for one), not to mention more than a few scratches sustained over the last decade and a half. Got a few jobs to do, mostly bodywork, and thought this would be a good place to hang around and share knowledge where possible.

Anyway, hello from me... and my long-suffering (but still running) red N15.

Thanks guys!

Any engine bay pics because these diesels are rather rare. Just curious.
I knew they weren't common, I think this is the only one i've seen (and there are still a fair few N15's in the area). I might take a pic of the engine bay when the rain lets up... though it'll be grubby to say the least, so my apologies in advance :D
