N15 registrations

right just seen a chap on the members ride thread with a 'N' reg black sri,

got me thinking my lovely pulsar is a 'M' reg and was made 3 months before 'N' regs come in,

so wa the UKDM n15's produced from a 'N' but japan made them earlier for them selves?
ie production for the JDM almeras was a few months to a year ahead of the UKDM?

AFAIK Sam you cant put a private plate on that makes the car look newer.
