N15 Steering wheel change

About to change steering wheel for non airbag sport wheel
Have changed many before on other cars
Anything different to look out for with the gti ?
Is centre horn usual straight forward job
Is air bag removal easy thats something i have not done before

Two bolts either side of the wheel behind plastic covers for the airbag, secure torx T50 bits. Undo the nut but leave it on the last few threads so you don't hit yourself in the face with the wheel.

does the horn in centre of wheel just connect as usual

Careful removing the torx screws-easy to thread them.

No the horn will be a fettling around job.

any how to guide on the horn available ie pictures etc appreciated

Get a proper boss kit and it will come with the connections required that will plug into the stock loom allowing the horn to work and the airbag light to remain off.
