hi guys my n15 gti has started clunking from the strut tops . this only started after i replaced my bumpstops and i put them back correctly but my local mechanic says that the bearings are are on there way out is it to do with standard shocks and lowering springs ????( heard that this may be the cause) and apart from replacing the bearings or getting coils all round or just for the front . has anyone else had this and how did they solve it?

fully tighten the 17mm top nut on the strut
