N16 gas struts for bonnet

Hi all,

looking at putting in a set of gas struts to hold my bonnet up while working under the hood (the stock arm is really annoying).

I've seen one post here but all i learned from it is that p11 gas struts wont' work on the n16.

There doesn't seem to be a specific kit available for the n16 either.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?
 
Have you been watching Mightycarmods?
Have you considered modifying some boot struts? They are quite strong, and maybe too strong.
