N16 Lower ball joint

Hi,

I need to change the lower ball joint on my 2005 Almera. Are the joints pressed in or something? I only ever seen joints that are bolted to the car. The one i have is a conical shape??

I changed one on mine a few hours ago.

Yeah they are press fit. Remove the circlip then hammer them out. Put the new one in the freezer overnight and it literally just taps in. Bosh.

My old one needed a lot of force to remove it so i took the wishbone off and put it in a vice to get better access with the multi purpose adjustment tool.
