n16 wiring loom 1.5 and 1.8 help needed please

hi all im in need of some info if any of you can help please i have 2 almera n16,s a 2003 1.5s and a 2000 1.8 spoort i need to know if the wiring loom is the same on them both as i plan on putting the 1.8 engine in to my 1.5s so are the looms the same or will i have to change the wiring loom over as well please

They will be different inside and out im afraid, plus the clocks are different amongst other parts. I cant advise any further, my best advice is to have a go but dont do anything that isnt easily reversed!

thanks for the info mate im sure the clocks are the same in both cars mate if i remember right
 
Oh. Phase 2s have different clocks and loom, plus a fly by wire throttle.

Check tho as they may have the same clocks which would make your life a little easier.
 
im not sure at all ill have to have a look at both cars i think i was hopeing id not have to change the loom over as its just a lot of stress changing the engines over is not a problem its just i dont wanna have to remove the wiring loom
 
Nope. Thats how the phase 2 is 98hp over the 89hp phase 1. Intake manifold and throttle body change.
