new front tyres 215/40/r16 86w

just to say i fitted 2 new front tyres today, a pair of toyo proxes t1r's the same as before but rather than 195/45/r16 im running 215's! 215/40/r16 with a 86w ratting, they fitted and look spot on, grip has increased dramatically hadling at higher speeds feel more in control and the brakes feel easier to use,
cost £145.58 fitted/balanced +valves etc and inc vat, not bad

Reminds me when i went from 185/65 to 205/40 i was like wahey! grip!!! :P

I was going to get some wider tyres for my 17s but i couldnt figure out how a wider tyre would fit on the rim without overhanging and looking stooopid so i went for some hankook ventus s1 evos! 75 quid each and i cant wait to try them out weee.
 
T1R`s are great tyres. Very grippy......but dont last very long, as i once got through a set in track session.
 
yeah i thought i was was gonna have to pay at least 80-90 each but they were actually quite cheap, cheaper then most websites even!
 
Just out of interest, since you live relatively near places that I occasionally visit, where did you get them? Just for future reference :)
 
elites in rainham/dagenham, usualy their quite expensive but i guess they buy in so much bulk, they had every size tyre instock! and a 215 40 r16 is really a common tyre,
