New here, but not to GTi's...

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say hello, and make friends ready for when I need loads of help!
:D

I have just bought a '98 GTi, a little rough around the edges right now but mainly standard to look at, which is what I want really - happy to do lots under the bonnet...

I worked at Nissan dealerships from 1988 - 2002, and during that time had three brand spanking new GTi's - loved em then, still do now!

I actually owned another '98 one about 3 years ago, loved it, but for some reason sold it :confused:

This one is for keeps, and I plan to make it as 'spot on' as possible.

Welcome mate, good to have someone with some solid "classic" pre-renault nissan background on the forum, theres less and less around these days
 
Blimey! Don't think we've had many people who had GTis from new! I remember tech_1 had his but sold it a couple of years ago.

It's funny you mention the mention the Renault thing Alan, I actually have one of these as my main car now

and it's truly bloody brilliant!

That said, it is actually an X-Trail with some make up on :)

I used to hate French cars, but can honestly say this Renault is the best thing I have ever owned - it's that good!

Anyways, back to business lol

I'm near Lancaster Bandit, anywhere near you?

And as for pics...I think we'll wait til she's a little more to be proud of ;)
