New here :)

Hey guys.. New to the Almera scene, so thought i'd sign up to the forum. Im Alex, 21, and live in South Wales. I got a red 2005 plate Almera 1.5 SE. Originally i had a Citroen Saxo which i had spent alot of money on, but a bimbo ploughed into me and wrote the car off. Fortunatly i was able to purchase the Almera very cheap from a relative :D Had one owner from new and just 22k miles on the clock.

Not going to be having a lot of plans for this vehicle, as i'm a bit wary of the cash. I lost a lot of money on the saxo and would hate for it to happen again.

So far i have removed the rear badges and im happy with the rear as it is. Ride is a bit too high for my liking and there is far too much roll, so maybe purchasing the 35mm Apex springs in the future. Im a detailing whore, so therefore i will just be keeping the paint perfect and the car clean inside and out.

Cheers

Hey dude :) Welcome aboard. However before you go buying lowering springs! Spend the money on some Coilovers. You'll never regret it ;D

And as quickdraw said, they do suck you dry from the pocket! But thats what all the funs about ;D

Coilovers were the plans with the Saxo. But like i said, i'm not spending big bucks on the Almera  Im sure i'll get the bug again before long, but for now i'm keeping a good clean example OEM look with subtle changes :)

Welcome to the AOC mate.

Personally I'd go for Eibach Pro spring kit but that's just because I had them and they rocked.

Don't be too scared of spending cash, just make sure you are insured for the car's real value!
