This was covered not so long ago, & is very difficult to do without breaking it.

Try searching for gear knob removal, it should be on here somewhere.

glued on - or at least mine was. I was unable to unscrew and a few other guys i asked were also unable to unscrew my knob (gear knob)

I cut and burned it off - worked a treat, plus i quite liked setting things on fire at the time so that was an added bonus

Does anyone know the diameter of the gear stick, I was thinking of buying one? Is it hard to pull off for all N16 models or just a few? I have the 2000 Reg N16 1.5 E thanks.

Thanks mate. Well its equiped well enough for a 17 year old...Most of my mates car doesnt even have PAS or E/W :D Something to boast about eh! ;)

Im thinking of getting a LED chrome gear knob. I need to pull the stock one off first dou...wish me luck.

Have you considered darkening your front headlights with transparent black spray. I saw some on the internet looks mint! :D

Stupid question time!

Just out of curiosity, would doing this affect the beam/brightness, so causing an MOT failure?

Seen a few cars with darkened front indicators, but never the actual headlights.

Nah in my strictest opinion this falls into the same section of the cool styling wall as Lex-Arse lights and LED knobs - :gay: :gay: :gay: GAY :gay: :gay: :gay:

And you DON'T pull it off - you unscrew it

Well not actually cover the whole headlights black lol Just the sides...mask out the inner section where the light beam is shooting out. The trick is the spray paint...theres a type where although it looks dark but emits some light back out...anyway Im gona give it a go...but i need to contact someone with a pair of spare headlights first...just in case :D

....

And actually Im gona get Lexus lights nearer to christmas haha maybe that doesnt go down wiv you well but yno im still in the very inmature age of 17. Anything looks good in my eyes im afraid  (especially flashing LED lights :D) Please dont hate me...Im sure i'll grow out of it...and return to normal...

Yeah I unscrewed it off...not a problem. Shall be gettin the gear knob on saturday. Thank you very much for ur help mate. Much appreciated!

If you realy want lexus lights, get a set of the black ones, as they look way better than the chrome ones.

And thus encouraging them to participate in the forum more often rather using it for info and help - nobody makes friends that way
