hey guys
so my MGF gave up the ghost the other day, and as a replacement i now own a N16 Almera 1.8 Sport+ in Green.
its done 74000 miles, came with a few little toys (300 watt amp, 6x9's) and im very happy with her :)
firstly i wanted to introduce myself and say hi!
secondly, do the Sport+'s come with the metal sill trim as standard?
and finally, where are the best places to buy/look for performance parts for these cars?

i havent at the moment, but will do soon! to be honest i havent really decided what route to go down first, stance/looks or engine mods.... i only bought her on tuesday so i will be having a look through the club forum and getting a rough idea of what i like before getting out the wallet!

Always liked that colour of the N16. Yeah the sill plates only come on the Sport+ if I remember correctly. On the Sport+ you get side skirts, spoiler, sunroof, CD changer, and 16" Twist alloys all in the package. Some of which you can't get unless you have the Sport+.

Performance parts for our chassis is limited, especially when it comes to engine tuning and even more so with the petrol models. First up, your engine code is QG18DE. That might help with your searches. You can buy exhaust manifolds from the US (where there's a fair bit of QG18DE tuning), and custom is the way to go the exhaust. Usual drop in panel air filter, reputable brand from eBay.

I'm pretty local so if you wanted to meet up for ideas and take a few snaps you're more than welcome to. We're trying to organise a small Guildford area meet right now, so look up the thread in the Meet section :)

thanks for the info!

yeah im finding it quite limited, but im not really looking to spend much at the moment, so ill stick to the standard and cheap for the time being!

maybe in a few years ill look for a nice SR20DET to drop in there...
 
Welcome to the AOC! You're not far from my neck of the woods. Your N16 looks good from your profile picture, looks to be the same year as mine too.

What happened to the MG?
