New owner of 2004 tino se dci

Hi guys. First of all hello. Really like your site. Been a member of NPOC for a few years and would say that this site is slightly easier to navigate.

Bought a Tino 2.2 dci just before christmas and I'm pretty pleased with it. It does have its faults like having one of the noisiest and least economical diesel engines ever put in a car. But other then that I'm happy with it.

I do have 2 questions. Firstly does anyone no if the dampers and springs on this are the same as a primera P12. I ask because a friend has a Spax kit for sale for a P12 and we thought they might be the same seeing as nissan didn't do alot of new development for the tino.

Second. Is there anyone on either the M5 or M4 corridor that can do a decent job of remapping these beasts. I've searched and just found someone from leeds which is a bit of a mission from Bristol.

Cheers for reading. Chat to you soon

I doubt p12 dampers will fit as its a completely different chassis.
Check for broken earth straps and clean the MAF for more mpg.

Welcome :-)

A trip to Leeds is a hassle but well worth it. RS Tuning is where I got mine done. Not many others can map it because of our ECU type.

Yep cheers mate. Might have to do a trip to leeds sometime then.
Think I will pull one of the rear dampers on my tino to compare it to 1 my mates selling. I know its a different chassis but I just have a hunch for some reason that nissan engineered the chassis to fit an existing damper they had in their parts bin like they did with most of the parts on the tino. I will keep you posted

Just been looking and I'm quite sure the rears are the same as the p12 but the springs have 6 winds on 1 and 5 on the other. Might try same parts from a breakers first cos my mate is selling his as new and won't want them back if I've already fitted them.

Does anyone know if the UK QX and the USA Maxima use the same parts. One of the reasons I'm so interested is that Eibach make springs for the Maxima but not the Tino or P12.

i dont think theres anything wrong with it. youll just be hard pushed to find a less economical diesel thats not on a 4x4
