New Pioneer head units

picked up my HU today from being repaired and was chatting with a guy in the shop as he had just been to a convention to see the new pioneer stuff.

How cool is this! a HU with bluetooth built in so it work automatically with your phone. cant find many details on it yet though:

and this one is a vehicle dynamics processor which works out loads of stuff in rel time, so you can have guages on your pioneer flip out screen. doesnt work with any of the sat nav models though.

Pioneer always know how to make cool stereo's. They just need to boost their sound quality (through the whole range)
i was looking for a new pioneer HU that can read MP3's from a DVD
that would be seriously cool

they do not make the DEH-P8500 any more but you can get the new model similar to that called DEH-P9600MP. These are going for about 250 - 300 quid on ebay and thats now a bad buy :)

forgot to say thats new not 2nd hand lol

nowt but problems TBH mate.

First the sound chip blew about 9 months after i got it, cost me 80 quid to get it replaced. Now when the front flips down it has a tendency to turn itself off. If it stays on and I press a button, it turns off, so i have to use the remote all the time. Probably the connections but they are all clean and theres no way im paying for it to get fixed again!

Expected better from Pioneer!
 
what do you think the the DEH-P80MP mate?
im looking into both the DEH-P80MP and the DEH-P70BT i have a bluetooth compatiable fone, and i am looking to hook an ipod upto it aswell not sure which to go for though.
the BT has the cool bluetooth thing but is £30 more, while i think the MP looks a lot nicer.
 
Pioneer has been producing some quality H/U recently yes !
But I really do think bluetooth is for sad people who think they are all hi-tec and look cool :lol: .It does my f""kin head in!
But no really,why not just get a normal hands free speaker.
All I do with my phone is put it on speaker phone and talk that way :confused:

I never used the DEH-P70BT. but i have used the DEH-P80MP which is a fab head unit one of the best ones i ever had. also you can get a AUX cable for the Pioneer units that plug into the IP-Port and then plug it in the ipod. I have a Nokia Bluetooth Car kit so it is pointless buying the DEH-P70BT and apart from that the screen is not as big.

also the DEH-P70BT has 4x50 when the DEH-P80MP is 4x60 head unit
(this does not bother me again because i am running every thing on amps)

I would personally get a DEH-P80MP because its one of the best units i ever had.
 
Pioneer are pretty good. I got the DEH-P80MP and think it's great, it's a really nice looking headunit, most people that get in my car have commented on it. Wouldn't mind that DEH-P70BT though!
