Hi all...

My name is Rob,

i have recently bought a nissan almera 1.6 SRi, 56K on the clock, full years MOT and a few monts tax, in black, mint interior (Maybe the GTi interior..) New exhaust front to back...

and the only bit of rust on the car is on the drivers door right at the bottom and thats only bubbleing.

all for £850

all i have done so far is put on a cheep set of ripspeed alloys as the tyres needed replacing on the originals. £180

i have to put in it a custom built sub and amp kit only a 12" but its plenty of power.
JBL GTO 6x9's on the shelf and tweeters to be put on the front pillars or on top of the dash.

first major mod will be a new grill, trying to get either a aftermarket one or just a GTi grill.

and i realy want to get a set of phase 2 rear lights... any one got some????

photos will be up asap... cars at my dads at the mo as my insurance company wont let me drive it till i have been driving a year lol... got to wait till the end of feb lol....

i took my test on 29 FEB 08 wanted to do it on the leap year lol.

did an insurance quote and it came out on a nice figure of £650... thats cheeper than the 1ltr polo im driving at the mo!!!
 
nice one. i have just been reading up on your SRi, had quite a bit of work done to it.. just wondering is there a large amount of difference between the SRi and GTi brakes?
 
definite improvement mate, do it. SRi brakes are 20mm thick i think and fade very easily. With the gti brakes ive had the discs glowing orange with no fade!!! they just feel better lol

realy need to get some pics of my car... but i am having to wait for my wheel spacers... £49.99 for the spacer kit what a rip off!!!

if thats the one from halfords... cancel it.

its a genuine rip off. you don't get spacers you get stupid plastic rings, all 4 of which have broken.

and you get chromed nuts, all 16 of which are corroded.

cancel it and spend the 50 quid on some coloured nuts.

i am taking mine back with a complaint as its ridiculous than the whole kit has failed in less than 3 months
 
thats how i'm running mine... tbh i dont think 4 flimsy plastic rings are gonna do anything to the structure of the wheel...

im gonna take my "fitting kit" back and tell them to shove it where the sun is sparse cause its essentially sub standard products, that have failed in no time at all
 
the kit hasent come in yet... if it is the one that u think it is il refuse it and request my money back i have found these.... think they might fit????

Ive just been down to halfords and had a look at the wheel centralisers and they are shit....

little bushes made by the cheepest bidder.... and i see what u meen by the nuts.... one was rusted in the box...

i just said i dont want them and got my £50 back...

just need to find some nice blue ones now.
 
right i have now ordered a new set of spigot rings for the wheels.
a set of wind deflectors.
and im picking up a set of blue wheelnuts up on saturday..
gonna try and get down the scrappy as well for a new rear light as some one has cracked the lense. not happy
