hi guys , I'll try and give as much details as possible . I own a Nissan almera 54 plate 1.5 petrol engine . A couple of weeks ago my car started making a wining noise while starting it . Although it seemed a bit strange car seemed to start fine for the next week or so .

now when I try and start the car the winning has slowed down and takes a bit longer to start , I can't see how long it's going to be before it not going to turn over at all.

Has anybody had this problem or knows what's wrong thanks
 
Few basic things to check, I would look at the battery to see if its retaining the correct voltage as the long dark nights (winter lol) put a large stain on your battery. If that's all ok then I would then lead towards your starter motor but I wouldn't start changing that intill it no longer starts.
