Newb from Cambridgeshire

Right,

My names Guy and I live just north of cambridge in a place called Littleport (Ely)
I'm 41 going on 19 and really into my hot hatches. I fix I improve them and make them go just that little better.
I look after some rather precious races for a local property developer so its not just hot air. Most of the things I do come from experience from race car preperation,

Now the nitty gritty...........

I'm just doing the right thing and posting to say hi and say up front I've registered after a chat to a nice fella called tom from devon who contacted me and suggested I come register here and flaunt my wears.

I got my Gti about 3 months back as an accident damaged repairable in payment for some head work I did for a fella.

The intention was to repair it and put back on the road but after a little consideration and soul searching I have decided to break it.

Shame really as its actually a really nice example or could be if i had the time and inclination to fix it.

Thanks for looking Guy.

Hi Guy! Look forward to recieving brakes from you lol any plans to get a working almera?

I at this moment have no plans of actually having a running Almera but on closer inspection (or is that disection) of this marque I actually quite like how they are screwed together. With their pretty bullet proof build and longevity I may be back for another go when I finish up the four vw projects i currently have on the go.

Some one did drop in my shell like that I could put the engine and box in a Micra and with those only weighing in at 650 kg with 150 brake its going to be hairy.
Having a 140 brake polo that tips the scales at 720kg I can tell you it would make pretty much the ultimate traffic light terrorist whilst still looking like a purple rinces shopping trolley.Q car or what !

About the nicest thing I've found with this almera is with a 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, the occassional 19mm and 22mm i could strip this car to bare bones.Nothing is perticulally hard to get at or difficult to undo.
Not a bad car all told.
