newb here

Hi guys, stumbled upon this forum just now and decided to join.

I'm an N16 owner just under 7 years now and saw a lot of you guys have similar cars and did a few mods here and there.

I hope to learn a thing or two in here.

Oh right never knew an N16 with that grille was ever called an Almera. Is that just in Singapore that that is the case? Obviously normally it seems to be Pulsar (Au) or Sentra.

I'm not too sure what they call it back at Singapore, here in Trinidad they call it the Nissan Almera. I know some places call it the Pulsar and others the Sentra / Sunny.

I swapped my grill for one like yours a long while back but got ran off the road by a truck. I lost my front bumper, fog lights, one head light and part of the grill broke. I have since remade it with fiberglass and have been meaning to paint it.

Edit: I think this should be the grill and the car

I dont know if the link works because from here at work I cannot view it behind the firewall

This is what she looks like with the grill back on. Its really dirty and the repair is not finished yet in this pic.

Over the next few weeks I will get to work on it and open up those headlamps to paint the projector shroud black. 2013-05-05 16.57.591.jpg

Ah right you have the plastic Depo one fitted. I've got that too, but have the X-Racing FRP open mouth one fitted.

I had these before but decided to get the newer ones. The indicators were too easy to steal and people were in fact stealing them so with these, no worries. Plus they show beautiful in the night.

Been trying to find out if I can remove the projector assembly and install a pair of these:

This way I can condemn the high beam and paint it black so the entire headlight interior will be black. :D

Yeah always liked that one. it's a like a cross between phase 1 and 2. How was the light output?

The light output was basically limited to all a reflector type headlight assembly can do for you. The black finisher over the pair of wells is what allows light to escape so you are in fact limited to only what those openings let out.

The projector on the other hand, it focuses the beam so no light energy is wasted via scattering.

I have never used H.I.D.'s but with the projectors and normal bright yellow bulbs the night vision is vivid. You see the white lines on the road white, you see the grass at the side of the road green, the asphalt is as it would look during the daylight and not to mention you dont have to worry about energy wasted towards blinding other drivers.

I find the Nissan projector lights totally rubbish. Dangerous even. I fitted HIDs in mine so I could actually see at night. Maybe the Depo copies improved on the Nissan design?

This is how it shows in the night, I dont have a pic in the pitch dark but I can take one out this weekend.

This one was taken lower down so the camera lens fell within the beam:

This one over the cutoff point:

And this these are everything all out for the guys with the extra bright lights and no courtesy to other drivers:

Changing the headlights and grill. I had a sweet photo once upon a time but cant find it.

I love you guys this much I went out into the night and took some pics of how my headlights show.

The set with the tree's showing the cutoff point was on my way out of the cemetery. I think I may have caught some grave robbers last night
