Hi Guys.

My Primera recently died in an accident :(
Anyway, I've decided my next car is to be an N15 Almera GTi. I've looked at a few, notably one today. It was red - with the mean lookin' bumpers, full Nissan service history and had 86k on the clock and was relatively clean, no mods at all. On an R plate, it was advertised for £1500, does this seem like a good price?

They're quite rare and i'm finding a nice one hard to come across. How do they fare with this mileage? Are there any issues I should look out for? Exactly how rare is the GTi kit - bumpers etc?

Many thanks, hoping to be a GTi owner soon!

86k should be ok providing its been regularly serviced and looked after (Check for rust on the sills and rear arches!), my GTi is nearly on 200k! A bodykitted example obviously looks nicer, although the front splitters tend to take a beating, but replacement fibreglass kits are now available on ebay.

Welcome to the AOC by the way ;)

Hi Corbs,

Thanks for the advice, i'll bear it in mind. I was very impressed at how clean it was and the amount of service history - its looking pretty good.
I'm going back with my Dad (he's an ex-mechanic) to take a look over it and take it for a spin on Saturday. With any luck i'll be a full part of the community :)

I'll keep you guys updated.

I have a set of 17" Konig Hurrys on my Primera - i'm assuming they'll go straight on the Almera? They'd look pretty sweet on it. If I am successful in purchasing this lovely motor i'll have a few mods going on down the road. Lowering it first, possibly some custom exterior mods before getting to work on the engine.

Again, thanks for the help and i'm looking forward to sharing knowledge with you all.

Unless your wheels are multi-fitment then they will not go on the Almera.

Welcome to the club anyway.
