Welcome matt, odd car you've got there.... I'll explain....

S Reg - Introduction of phase 2 gti's. Your car has phase 2 front and rear bumper, grille, door bumpstrips and rear lights.

But it has phase 1 sideskirts and headlights. Is it a CAT C or similar? Just very unsual changes.
 
yea it was on ebay the other week but i swapped it for a alfa 156 selespeed that i paid 600 quid for which i thought was a good deal

as for the cat c im not sure about that do the phase 2 headlights and side skirts look better?

ive never cleaned the rocker cover at all yet but im sure i will have to at some point and what are voodoo's??

also is there anything i can do to the back to make it look better i love the look of the front but the back just doesnt do anything for me at all

i will use this car in the winter as my summer car is a twin turbo z32

I am afraid that the arse end is as good as it gets, you can get a WRC style spoiler that looks well.

Voodoo's my man are wheels, Wolfrace made em in the 90's (I'm a bit of a wheel whore!) looking again i spy a stamp on one of the spokes so think they might not be!

yeah rather weird combo as it does not really recognize it as a crash damage either though

since! the bumpstrips are phase 2 - the model must be a phase 2 generally- u find these are the last things to be changed over if model upgrade is being done.

so means teh bumpers would be the same - ie phase 2 again with the lights!

but then why change the skirts and the headlights?
the headlights for sure are miles better on the phase2 - and suit a black car especially better.

skirts some people have preference on,

random for sure!

the rocker cover etc all rings a bell with me for some reason i dont know why
 
yea the phase 2 lights do look nice just had a look at some

the wheels are wolfrace but i dont like them at all was thinking of getting a different set at some point

quickdraw if you do remember anything about the car i would love to know

i was told that it had a full engine rebuild 9 thousand miles ago maybe that could be something todo with it

Maybe it was non bodykit from the factory and later in its life somebody has put the kit on?

As for lights, its easy to earn a fast buck on P2's.
 
When you come to sell them post em here first, i will be interested (without boots)

Don't suppose you have the centre caps? (They will be a bastard to source!)

They are 15's i assume.
