Newbie in need of help

Hello fellow Almera owners, and thanks for letting me on board.

I have a problem that i hope one of you can help me with.
Over the Christmas period i was given a 12 disc JVC cd player for my car.(changer only,not head unit). The problem is that i cannot find the plug for it, and after a call to my local Nissan dealer i was informed that i would have to book my car in to have it fitted.
I don't really fancy shelling out that type of cash if i can do it myself.

Thanks for any guidance you can throw at me.

its just a standard 12 disc unit. i have looked and felt behind the dash as best i can but cannot find the connector. i just need to know where it is. I may be looking in the wrong place.
 
problem is, if you have a standard nissan head unit and a JVC 12 disc changer, it aint gonna fit.

you can get adapters but not sure if they do them for JVC ones (ive seen alpine and sony)
 
right,sorry mate I'm not all clued up on cd changers but theres a couple of I.C.E. tech specialists on this site,just give it a day and i'm sure the advice will be there for you.Oh and welcome to A.O.C. :)

Been in touch with a couple of car audio specialists and they have both said the same thing. If i want to connect a cd changer to my standard head unit then i can only use the Alpine CHM S630 unit. My only other alternative us to completely replace the unit with a new unit but this means buying a new facia, but then i lose my steering wheel controls!
Talk about running in circles!!
