newbie saying hi

Hi, Just got a Y reg 2.2 almera S . Its a non runner as has a fuel pump issue,
5 door in silver with 68K on the clock, Nice motor so looking forward to fixing it up for the wife.

I have heard the fuel pump has an ECU in it that goes wrong and this is a common fault ?
Also been told fuel pump can be re-built to save recoding ?

Any help would be great

erm does it? just goto buypartsby.com and buy a new fuel pump. easier, simpler and cheaper probably hehe Welcome dude!

Btw forgot to say check ebay! They have some new/used pumps on there for pittance. And i dont think buypartsby will have the FP for the almera.. as they dont have mine worth checking though ehehe

i heard coding cost a fair bit .
recon pump is £240
