Newbie with side light issues

Hi there every one.:)

My partner and i have been without a car for a few months, she has decided to take up driving at last but we have a little problem. We have bought an almera 1.4 n15 muzic from a friend but the side lights dont work neither do the rear fog or the number plate lights. I have tracked down the 10amp fuse for the rr fog and that was blown. The side light bulb holder pins are heavily corroded so i replaced the fuse with them disconnected but when i energised the circuit again the fuse blew.:confused:

All other electrics are working ok including headlights, breaklights ect. i have ordered new fuses.


Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.:cool:
 
You need to replace or repair the bulb holders, its a common problem. Best bet is to get a set from a car being broken but you need to check the problem isn't the same.
