hi all, i bought my almera gti last night, im impressed with it so far apart from the offside rear wheel bearing is shot and is in the garage tommorow to be repaired, and we are having some trouble with wiring up a stereo other than that its GREAT.

Black ''99'' v plate with 120k on it but has had a new engine put in with about 80k on it, full stainless exhaust with 4-2-1 manifold and de-cat, induction kit, black wheels, lowered 35mm all round. It has also just had a new clutch cable, but it seems quite stiff/heavy is this normal??

Need a few pounds spending on it, to tidy up sum lil bits n bob's, the arches mainly are bubbled up and there is a small patch just under the rear window and passenger side indicator is cracked, interior is immaculate.

Not too bad for £1000 i didnt think. Fun in a box :lol:
 
Welcome, T!!! DAN? the clutch cable might just need adjusting, almera's dont really have a light clutch a few people have said they have experienced stiff ones, get some pics up ;)
 
I wouldn't say the Almera has a heavy clutch at all, infact i'd say the clutch is fairly light, it's just the sheer springyness of the clutch pedal that gives the impression of a meatier clutch.
 
Could be the clutch release bearing is full of clutch dust which makes it stiff. Mine was stiff til I had it replaced.
 
hi guys, thnx for your reply's i found out what the clutch problem was when, i drove over to a friend's house the other day and the cable snapped when i stopped at a junction, the cable that was on it which was supposidly a new one i think was just a cable which happend to fit it, i have had new cable put in only cost £20 and now its absolutely fine, did have sum fun on the way there blastin away an astra gsi turbo haha!!

what problems you having wiring the headunit up?

rear wheel bearing from memory comes as a complete stub axle

hi all, lol, one of my friends said he'd seen a red almera gti on the wayfarer come to think of it, she's bein put away for a lil while now, while i spend some money on her, few bits n bobs on the paintwork and theres a guy across the road from me who works in retrimmin seats, so im gonna get him do mine in red leather, i sorted the headunit out now, the guy who had it before me had gone at the wires with a meat clever i think haha! thnx for replys guys
 
used to have a red phase 1 pretend gti, now got a red phase 2 full fat version with extra cheese :lol: see you around :)
