hi guys my names chris im 30 and live powys, im currently looking for a almera as a my daily drive/ project car

im going to be looking for a 1.4 possibly the si verion, as i need to keep cost down.
ive read alot of your posts through google, so i thought id join up and also learn as much as i can, ive had nissan's in the past including a 1.0 k10 micra and a 2.0 1988 nissan bluebird gsi, and loved them. ive wanted to do something different for a while and always loved the look of the almera. My plan is a gti replica, but i want to spray the whole car in matte black. Ive always wanted a matte black car but never had the testicular fortitude to do this. So hopefully in the next few weeks i should pick one up if not sooner.

yea will do. it will be more the parts il be looking for on here then the cars as i want to try and find one locally in my area, so i can try save money on travel for more shiney parts :D
 
If you can get a 1.6 SRi alot more umph over that of the 1.4 bar the engine/front brakes only missing the ph2 bodykit which is overated nyhow :)
 
Shouldn't have any trouble with insurance at 30. A GTi will have similar mpg as a 1.4/1.6 as they are so gutless they require you to floor it everywhere.
 
If you are interested in the mpg of a GA14 my Almera is on Fuelly. I've tracked 14000 miles and averaged 39MPG. It's all fast A road and dual carriageway. I don't drive particularly slowly really so I think it's OK.
