Nismo FPR along with guage

Hey all, I've just recently joined this forum and just have a query regarding this subject.

Basically I'm going to be using a Nismo FPR, but would like to install a fuel pressure guage also to check etc. However I'm not 100% sure where I can install this. I know you can "T" it in between the fuel filter and where it enters the rail, but wont this be before the FRP and therefore not be measuring the correct pressure which is going to the injectors once it comes from the FPR?

Can anyone help us out with this?

Thanks

Thanks mate, I was just reading it, but notice that the pressure guage is still installed where I said (before the FPR). My concern is that will it be measursing the correct pressure at this point as the fuel has yet gone to the FPR.

Aslo I've read that the guage should be removed once fueling is set up. Is this the case? as I was under the impression it could stay.

The fuel is back-pressured from the FPR, it restricts flow on the return to fuel tank line. So the fuel guage needs to be between the fuel rail and the FPR.

I see, so in that case the guage being fitted where Shaggy has his in the write up: (after the fuel filter) is perfectly fine? Also is it a know problem for the "T" piece to leak hence why its best to remove the guage once pressure is set. Thanks

That would be PTFE, I'm guessing, if you use the stuff in the yellow packaging it's just meant for gas and is slightly thicker.

Not sure if this is of any help:O

ahh I see, cheers you guys, ill just take it then that wether you use the yellow tape or not it will work, possibly more likely safer with yellow even thought they both do the job.

oh and shaggy do you have that link for me now please? Cheers . As the only place I've found is ebay.

the trouble with the thick tape is that it wont get into the small threads properly, that is why normal tape is better as i say just do 6 or 7 wraps and it'll be fine.
