2002 Almera Tino with the 2.2 turbo diesel engine.Acceleration problems.. I have owned this for 4 months (never had a diesel before,only the petrol version ,I am wondering if this is normal) the acceleration is terrible. There is approx four second delay before the engine picks up, even with the accelerator to the floor. Is this normal for this engine? It makes it very dangerous pulling out of junctions, when climbing hills it slows to a walking pace.its fine once your up and running on the motorway and even picks up in 5th gear .I am really puzzled anybody have the same with theirs .The clutch seems fine and not slipping,Thanks
